추수와 감사, Harvest and Thanksgiving [ 창세기 8:15 - 9:3 ] - 찬송가 587 장
맥추절을 지키라 이는 네가 수고하여 밭에 뿌린 것의 첫 열매를 거둠이니라 (출애굽기 23:16)

수천 년 전, 하나님은 모세에게 직접 말씀하셔서 주님의 백성들을 위해 새로운 축제를 제정하셨습니다. 출애굽기 23장 16절의 모세의 기록에 따르면, 하나님은 “맥추절을 지키라 이는 네가 수고하여 밭에 뿌린 것의 첫 열매를 거둠이니라”라고 말씀하셨습니다.
오늘날 온 세계의 나라들이 땅의 풍성함을 기념하며 비슷한 일을 합니다. 가나에서는 추수 행사로 얌 축제를 합니다. 브라질에서는 감사절이 식량으로 주신 농작물에 대해 감사드리는 때입니다. 중국에는 중추절이 있고, 미국과 캐나다에는 추수감사절이 있습니다.
추수를 기념하는 바른 목적을 이해하기 위해 홍수 직후의 노아를 살펴봅시다. 하나님은 노아와 그의 가족, 그리고 우리에게 우리가 이 땅 위에 번성하도록 하나님께서 공급해주시겠다고 말씀하셨습니다. 이 땅 위에 각 계절이 있으며, 낮과 밤이 있고, “심음과 거둠”이 있게 될 것이었습니다(창 8:22). 우리를 살 수 있게 해주는 수확에 대한 우리의 감사는 하나님 한 분에게만 드려져야 합니다.
당신이 어디에 살고 있고 어떻게 땅의 풍성함을 축하하는지 상관없이, 오늘 하나님께 감사를 표현하는 시간을 가지십시오. 왜냐하면 그분의 거대한 창조적인 설계 없이는 우리는 기념할 만한 어떤 수확도 거두지 못할 것이기 때문입니다.

만드신 놀라운 방식에 감사드립니다. 우리의 감사를 받아주소서.

15. 하나님이 노아에게 말씀하여 이르시되
16. 너는 네 아내와 네 아들들과 네 며느리들과 함께 방주에서 나오고
17. 너와 함께 한 모든 혈육 있는 생물 곧 새와 가축과 땅에 기는 모든 것을 다 이끌어내라 이것들이 땅에
서 생육하고 땅에서 번성하리라 하시매
18. 노아가 그 아들들과 그의 아내와 그 며느리들과 함께 나왔고
19. 땅 위의 동물 곧 모든 짐승과 모든 기는 것과 모든 새도 그 종류대로 방주에서 나왔더라

2. 땅의 모든 짐승과 공중의 모든 새와 땅에 기는 모든 것과 바다의 모든 물고기가 너희를 두려워하며 너
희를 무서워하리니 이것들은 너희의 손에 붙였음이니라
3. 모든 산 동물은 너희의 먹을 것이 될지라 채소 같이 내가 이것을 다 너희에게 주노라

Harvest and Thanksgiving [ Genesis 8:15 - 9:3 ] - hymn 587
Celebrate the Festival of Harvest with the firstfruits of the crops you sow in your field. (Exodus 23:16)

Several thousand years ago, God spoke directly to Moses and instituted a new festival for His people. In Exodus 23:16, according to Moses’s record, God said, “Celebrate the Festival of Harvest with the firstfruits of the crops you sow in your field.”
Today countries around the world do something similar by celebrating the land’s bounty. In Ghana, the people celebrate the Yam Festival as a harvest event. In Brazil, Dia de Acao de Garcas is a time to be grateful for the crops that yielded their food. In China, there is the Mid-Autumn(Moon) Festival. In the United States and Canada: Thanksgiving.
To understand the fitting goal of a harvest celebration, we visit Noah right after the flood. God reminded Noah and his family—and us—of His provision for our flourishing existence on the earth. Earth would have seasons, daylight and darkness and “seedtime and harvest”(Gen. 8:22). Our gratitude for the harvest, which sustains us, goes to God alone.
No matter where you live or how you celebrate your land’s bounty, take time today to express gratitude to God—for we would have no harvest to celebrate without His grand creative design. Dave Branon

Genesis chapter 8
15. Then God said to Noah,
16. "Come out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and their wives.
17. Bring out every kind of living creature that is with you -- the birds, the animals, and all the
creatures that move along the ground -- so they can multiply on the earth and be fruitful and
increase in number upon it."
18. So Noah came out, together with his sons and his wife and his sons' wives.
19. All the animals and all the creatures that move along the ground and all the birds -- everything
that moves on the earth -- came out of the ark, one kind after another.
20. Then Noah built an altar to the LORD and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds,
he sacrificed burnt offerings on it.
21. The LORD smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: "Never again will I curse the ground
because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood. And never
again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.
22. "As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day
and night will never cease."

Genesis chapter 9
1. Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number and
fill the earth.
2. The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air,
upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are
given into your hands.
3. Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now
give you everything.
