하나님은 가나안 땅에서 지킬 의무와 책임을 말씀하시며 땅의 분배를 명하십니다. 이어서 땅의 경계를 정해주시고, 땅을 분배하고 감독할 책임자를 세우십니다.

[ 민수기 33:50 - 34:29 ] (찬송246장)

50여리고 맞은편 요단 강 가 모압 평지에서 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되 51이스라엘 자손에게 말하여 그들에게 이르라 너희가 요단 강을 건너 가나안 땅에 들어가거든 52그 땅의 원주민을 너희 앞에서 다 몰아내고 그 새긴 석상과 부어 만든 우상을 다 깨뜨리며 산당을 다 헐고 53그 땅을 점령하여 거기 거주하라 내가 그 땅을 너희 소유로 너희에게 주었음이라 54너희의 종족을 따라 그 땅을 제비 뽑아 나눌 것이니 수가 많으면 많은 기업을 주고 적으면 적은 기업을 주되 각기 제비 뽑은 대로 그 소유가 될 것인즉 너희 조상의 지파를 따라 기업을 받을 것이니라 55너희가 만일 그 땅의 원주민을 너희 앞에서 몰아내지 아니하면 너희가 남겨둔 자들이 너희의 눈에 가시와 너희의 옆구리에 찌르는 것이 되어 너희가 거주하는 땅에서 너희를 괴롭게 할 것이요 56나는 그들에게 행하기로 생각한 것을 너희에게 행하리라 

 34:1여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되 2너는 이스라엘 자손에게 명령하여 그들에게 이르라 너희가 가나안 땅에 들어가는 때에 그 땅은 너희의 기업이 되리니 곧 가나안 사방 지경이라 3너희 남쪽은 에돔 곁에 접근한 신 광야니 너희의 남쪽 경계는 동쪽으로 염해 끝에서 시작하여 4돌아서 아그랍빔 언덕 남쪽에 이르고 신을 지나 가데스바네아 남쪽에 이르고 또 하살아달을 지나 아스몬에 이르고 5아스몬에서 돌아서 애굽 시내를 지나 바다까지 이르느니라 6서쪽 경계는 대해가 경계가 되나니 이는 너희의 서쪽 경계니라 7북쪽 경계는 이러하니 대해에서부터 호르 산까지 그어라 8호르 산에서 그어 하맛 어귀에 이르러 스닷에 이르고 9그 경계가 또 시브론을 지나 하살에난에 이르나니 이는 너희의 북쪽 경계니라 10너희의 동쪽 경계는 하살에난에서 그어 스밤에 이르고 11그 경계가 또 스밤에서 리블라로 내려가서 아인 동쪽에 이르고 또 내려가서 긴네렛 동쪽 해변에 이르고 12그 경계가 또 요단으로 내려가서 염해에 이르나니 너희 땅의 사방 경계가 이러하니라

 13모세가 이스라엘 자손에게 명령하여 이르되 이는 너희가 제비 뽑아 받을 땅이라 여호와께서 이것을 아홉 지파 반 쪽에게 주라고 명령하셨나니 14이는 르우벤 자손의 지파와 갓 자손의 지파가 함께 그들의 조상의 가문에 따라 그들의 기업을 받을 것이며 므낫세의 반쪽도 기업을 받았음이니라 15이 두 지파와 그 반 지파는 여리고 맞은편 요단 건너편 곧 해 돋는 쪽에서 그들의 기업을 받으리라

 16여호와께서 또 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되 17너희에게 땅을 기업으로 나눌 자의 이름은 이러하니 제사장 엘르아살과 눈의 아들 여호수아니라 18너희는 또 기업의 땅을 나누기 위하여 각 지파에 한 지휘관씩 택하라 19그 사람들의 이름은 이러하니 유다 지파에서는 여분네의 아들 갈렙이요 20시므온 지파에서는 암미훗의 아들 스므엘이요 21베냐민 지파에서는 기슬론의 아들 엘리닷이요 22단 자손 지파에서는 지휘관 요글리의 아들 북기요 23요셉 자손 중 므낫세 자손 지파에서는 지휘관 에봇의 아들 한니엘이요 24에브라임 자손 지파에서는 지휘관 십단의 아들 그므엘이요 25스불론 자손 지파에서는 지휘관 바르낙의 아들 엘리사반이요 26잇사갈 자손 지파에서는 지휘관 앗산의 아들 발디엘이요 27아셀 자손 지파에서는 지휘관 슬로미의 아들 아히훗이요 28납달리 자손 지파에서는 지휘관 암미훗의 아들 브다헬이니라 하셨느니라 29이들이 여호와께서 명령하사 가나안 땅에서 이스라엘 자손에게 기업을 받게 하신 자들이니라

50And the LORD spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,51 “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,52 then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you and destroy all their figured stones and destroy all their metal images and demolish all their high places.53 And you shall take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given the land to you to possess it.54 You shall inherit the land by lot according to your clans. To a large tribe you shall give a large inheritance, and to a small tribe you shall give a small inheritance. Wherever the lot falls for anyone, that shall be his. According to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit.55 But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those of them whom you let remain shall be as barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land where you dwell.56 And I will do to you as I thought to do to them.”34 :1The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,2 “Command the people of Israel, and say to them, When you enter the land of Canaan (this is the land that shall fall to you for an inheritance, the land of Canaan as defined by its borders),3 your south side shall be from the wilderness of Zin alongside Edom, and your southern border shall run from the end of the Salt Sea on the east.4 And your border shall turn south of the ascent of Akrabbim, and cross to Zin, and its limit shall be south of Kadesh-barnea. Then it shall go on to Hazar-addar, and pass along to Azmon.5 And the border shall turn from Azmon to the Brook of Egypt, and its limit shall be at the sea.6 “For the western border, you shall have the Great Sea and its coast. This shall be your western border.7 “This shall be your northern border: from the Great Sea you shall draw a line to Mount Hor.8 From Mount Hor you shall draw a line to Lebo-hamath, and the limit of the border shall be at Zedad.9 Then the border shall extend to Ziphron, and its limit shall be at Hazar-enan. This shall be your northern border.10 “You shall draw a line for your eastern border from Hazar-enan to Shepham.11 And the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain. And the border shall go down and reach to the shoulder of the Sea of Chinnereth on the east.12 And the border shall go down to the Jordan, and its limit shall be at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land as defined by its borders all around.”13 Moses commanded the people of Israel, saying, “This is the land that you shall inherit by lot, which the LORD has commanded to give to the nine tribes and to the half-tribe.14 For the tribe of the people of Reuben by fathers’ houses and the tribe of the people of Gad by their fathers’ houses have received their inheritance, and also the half-tribe of Manasseh.15 The two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan east of Jericho, toward the sunrise.”16 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,17 “These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun.18 You shall take one chief from every tribe to divide the land for inheritance.19 These are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.20 Of the tribe of the people of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.22 Of the tribe of the people of Dan a chief, Bukki the son of Jogli.23 Of the people of Joseph: of the tribe of the people of Manasseh a chief, Hanniel the son of Ephod.24 And of the tribe of the people of Ephraim a chief, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.25 Of the tribe of the people of Zebulun a chief, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.26 Of the tribe of the people of Issachar a chief, Paltiel the son of Azzan.27 And of the tribe of the people of Asher a chief, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.28 Of the tribe of the people of Naphtali a chief, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”29 These are the men whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance for the people of Israel in the land of Canaan.
