1. 사무엘상 21:10-15
21:10 그 날에 다윗이 사울을 두려워하여 일어나 도망하여 가드 왕 아기스에게로 가니
11 아기스의 신하들이 아기스에게 말하되 이는 그 땅의 왕 다윗이 아니니이까 무리가 춤추며 이 사람의 일을 노래하여 이르되 사울이 죽인 자는 천천이요 다윗은 만만이로다 하지 아니하였나이까 한지라
12 다윗이 이 말을 그의 마음에 두고 가드 왕 아기스를 심히 두려워하여
13 그들 앞에서 그의 행동을 변하여 미친 체하고 대문짝에 그적거리며 침을 수염에 흘리매
14 아기스가 그의 신하에게 이르되 너희도 보거니와 이 사람이 미치광이로다 어찌하여 그를 내게로 데려왔느냐
15 내게 미치광이가 부족하여서 너희가 이 자를 데려다가 내 앞에서 미친 짓을 하게 하느냐 이 자가 어찌 내 집에 들어오겠느냐 하니라
21:10 That day David fled from Saul and went to Achish king of Gath.
11 But the servants of Achish said to him, "Isn"t this David, the king of the land Isn"t he the one they sing about in their dances: ""Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands" "
12 David took these words to heart and was very much afraid of Achish king of Gath.
13 So he pretended to be insane in their presence; and while he was in their hands he acted like a madman, making marks on the doors of the gate and letting saliva run down his beard.
14 Achish said to his servants, "Look at the man! He is insane! Why bring him to me
15 Am I so short of madmen that you have to bring this fellow here to carry on like this in front of me Must this man come into my house "

2. 시편 34:15-22
34:15 여호와의 눈은 의인을 향하시고 그의 귀는 그들의 부르짖음에 기울이시는도다
16 여호와의 얼굴은 악을 행하는 자를 향하사 그들의 자취를 땅에서 끊으려 하시는도다
17 의인이 부르짖으매 여호와께서 들으시고 그들의 모든 환난에서 건지셨도다
18 여호와는 마음이 상한 자를 가까이 하시고 충심으로 통회하는 자를 구원하시는도다
19 의인은 고난이 많으나 여호와께서 그의 모든 고난에서 건지시는도다
20 그의 모든 뼈를 보호하심이여 그 중에서 하나도 꺾이지 아니하도다
21 악이 악인을 죽일 것이라 의인을 미워하는 자는 벌을 받으리로다
22 여호와께서 그의 종들의 영혼을 속량하시나니 그에게 피하는 자는 다 벌을 받지 아니하리로다
34:15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry;
16 the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.
18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
19 A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;
20 he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.
21 Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned.
22 The LORD redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.

3. 시편 51:17
51:17 하나님께서 구하시는 제사는 상한 심령이라 하나님이여 상하고 통회하는 마음을 주께서 멸시하지 아니하시리이다
51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

4. 베드로전서 2:19
2:19 부당하게 고난을 받아도 하나님을 생각함으로 슬픔을 참으면 이는 아름다우나
2:19 For it is commendable if a man bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because he is conscious of God.
