Our Classroom Rhythms
“Speak, LORD, for your servant hears.” (1 Samuel 3:9)
The Rhythm:
We listen quietly when the Bible is read and when others are sharing.
The Why:
God is the Great King; when He speaks through His Word, we listen with our whole
hearts to hear what He is like.
“So God created man in his own image...” (Genesis 1:27)
The Rhythm:
We use our hands to help, to create art, and to comfort. We do not use them to
hurt or distract.
The Why:
Every person in this room—teacher and student—is a “living picture” of God.
We treat the picture with respect because we love the Artist.
“O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!”
(Psalm 8:1)
The Rhythm:
We use our voices to pray, to sing, and to ask “Big Questions.” We use God’s
name with love, never as a common word.
The Why:
God’s name is like a treasure chest; we open it with care and joy, not with
carelessness.
“In your presence there is fullness of joy.” (Psalm 16:11)
The Rhythm:
We jump into every activity, drawing, and story with a “Yes!”
The Why:
God is not boring! We engage with our whole selves because learning about the
Creator of the Universe is the most exciting thing we can do.
